The iPad mini 3 is a complete waste of money (almost)

Apple has always received flak for selling their products at a premium compared to other smartphone and tablet manufacturers, but even if we let them off the hook for everything they’ve done so far, the iPad Mini 3 falls under that category of inexcusably expensive products.

Its really simple to work out the difference between the mini and mini 3 it has a fingerprint reader that is the only difference but what I don't get is the reviews give this and the air 3 amazing reviews and I still can't work out why.

Yes they are both easy to use and look nice but there is really not much difference from the last gen ipad now.

If anyone else did this but apple they would get slated. I mean bragging about being 18% thinner than the 1st air is really not a lot of difference. Bragging about having apple pay when it really is not the same NFC as everything else as its an app that needs an internet connection.

I really wish the hype for apple products would really start to tone down as apple don't deserve the credit the devices get anymore.

I don't hate apple before anyone thinks I do but looking at it from a technology view the I devices really lack way behind other devices on the market but people are quick to point out faults in devices from Sony, htc, Nokia, Microsoft etc but never do it to Apple ones.

We're talking about a change in cpu processing and that's really it. Granted the increase in power is nice, but seriously Galaxy tabs offer more, and most handheld games don't offer the requirements needed to put stress on these high tech cpu's. It seems like it's more of a marketing tool nowadays, "here's a faster newer cpu" to replace your already fast but old device.

It's sad Apple still don't have multiple tasking features. Their devices are so far behind compared to Android.

PSA: 4 Steps to Revert to the 4-Digit Passcode on iOS 9

Lately," I’ve heard a couple of complaints from a few of my friends who are new to iPhone/iOS. Having to type an extra two digits to log on is a big pain and, personally, I don’t blame them. As part of iOS 9, Apple now requires any new device (or old devices that have been restored to factory settings running iOS 9) to create a 6-digit passcode as part of the initial setup. Apple’s reasoning behind this centers around the idea that with more digits comes more combinations, making the passcode more difficult to crack."

I took the easy way out... I turned off the passcode.

This might be why the iPad mini 3 didn’t get a major update this year

Even though Apple released two new iPad models this year, including the iPad Air 2 and the iPad mini 3, only the 9.7-inch version received a significant upgrade, with the mini model only getting a Touch ID fingerprint sensor and an extra color option. A report from Chinese publication Economic Daily News suggests that starting next year, Apple will discontinue the iPad mini line and replace it with the bigger 12.2-inch iPad Pro model.

Apple Starts Accepting Pre-Orders for iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3

Maximum PC: Market research firms like Gartner report that tablet growth is slowing as consumers are reluctant to upgrade, but be that as it may, it hasn't stopped Google and Apple from releasing new models. Google earlier this week unveiled it's HTC-built Nexus 9 tablet with a 64-bit Tegra K1 SoC inside, and following yesterday's press event, Apple is now taking pre-orders for its iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 slates.
