Then on Tuesday the 27th of June the so-called “NotPetya” virus exploited the same vulnerabilities as the WannaCry attack and crippled infrastructure across Ukraine before sweeping across the rest of the globe to lock up essential computer systems.

Good article and coverage. Was it proven that WannaCry was state-sponsored by North Korea, or is this only supposition? One counter is to disconnect from the internet, though this is far from feasible in today's world. Didn't we learn that from Battlestar Galactica?
