Windows 10 Traffic Analysis Reveals Extent Of Microsoft's 'Spying'

MWEB GameZone writes: "Windows 10‬ collects and tracks more data than you might think, but at least from now on you'll get full update notes"

HanCilliers2996d ago

I wonder about that "full update notes."

1nsomniac2996d ago

...Yet the idiots will still call it a conspiracy theory.

FlameBaitGod2996d ago

The real idiots are the ones who don't question anything :)

pompombrum2996d ago

I'd argue the true idiots are the ones who try and justify this sort of crap with rubbish like they have nothing to hide so there isn't a problem.

Trilithon2996d ago

I have nothing to hide. still, if windows wants to track my data and sell it they should fucking pay me. I aint for free.

Speed-Racer2996d ago

@Trilithon - You got an entire OS for free. What is the problem here?

maelstromb2995d ago (Edited 2995d ago )

@Speed-Racer - Let's be honest here. He didn't "get" anything, nor did he get it for free. What he did receive is a product that he will never own and which collects his personal data at will in exchange for the use and convenience of new software. If Microsoft chose to recall Windows 10 tomorrow, their base would be left with nothing and they would retain salable goods in the form of your personal habits and information. So let's not conflate the two key points.

UltraNova2995d ago

@speedracer

Please tell me then what happens if I buy W10 say Sep 2016, will they stop 'collecting' my data because I paid for it??

Dude please stop.

Speed-Racer2995d ago

Ok let's put it another way. You are basically using a service in exchange for your personal information. Just like Facebook. There are no free lunches. Everything costs something and it's not always measured in dollars or cents.

gizmig2995d ago

They don't give a shit about what you ask to them. When you installed Windows 10 there are whole bunch of terms and conditions that you checked to agree to. They must have mentioned everything in those terms and conditions.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think 1nsomniac's point was that the "idiots" in question here are the ones who try to pretend that MS *wasn't* ever spying on anyone, or that what they were doing somehow wasn't a bad thing, therefore labeling it a "conspiracy theory" in a dismissive manner.

1nsomniac2995d ago (Edited 2995d ago )

Thank you.

Tzuno2996d ago

They see me fappin'.....they hatin' try to catch me fappin' dirty....

Speed-Racer2995d ago

MWEB - Do you guys talk about anything else other than Windows 10?

annoyedgamer2995d ago

Considering the way Europe's and the USAs governments are going, it wont be log before they use the data to track terrorists..and by terrorists I mean you and I who oppose the corrupt regimes in power.

FlameBaitGod2995d ago

Sad but actually true, I remember hearing about this girl that was labeled a terrorist because she was expressing her self loL, so much for freedom of speech.
