The End is Near for Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer. It’s the browser that everyone loves to hate. It didn’t seem to matter what Microsoft did to try and improve the fortunes of the dwindling browser, it could never quite shake the negative stigma that surrounded it.

Today the world rejoiced as Microsoft revealed that Internet Explorer is facing the chopping block. To be replaced by a brand new Microsoft browser that currently has a real Halo feel to it, codenamed Project Spartan.

I Know IE has tried to remain 'current' but for whatever reason every time I think about it I just think of the internet circa 56k. Ask Jeeves, Geocities, Chatrooms, Worms Armageddon, Napster and Internet Explorer.

Lots of hate for IE here. Have you guys tried 10? It's actually pretty good. Not good enough to switch since it's still missing the ability to add plugins, but it's come a long, long way.

All it has going for it is being a couple of milliseconds faster. It's inferior in every other way and it has one of the world's biggest software giants behind it. THAT's why there's a lot of "hate" for it.
