YouTube is failing miserably, Google is falling apart. Who is going to fill the void?
According to Bloomberg, YouTube CEO Neal Mohan has expressed concern regarding the potential misuse of platform content by OpenAI’s Sora, an AI-driven video creation tool.
Shaz from TL writes: “Linus Sebastian’s media company, Linus Media Group, is under fire. From ethical concerns with videos, to allegations of workplace harassment.”
If you need (or prefer) to read video content on YouTube, you have options.
Crazy to think that they're losing money
With all the privacy scares I'm not surprised a considerable populace had ditched Google and went basic. I don't think they're in a desperate situation though.
Youtube is failing miserably? What are you talking about?
Between all of the ad blocking (because of obnoxious ads), the interface being pointlessly overhauled every 6 months (discouraging regular users), the payment system that encourages quantity over quality (thus filling Youtube with quantity instead of quality)....I can't say that I'm surprised.
Allllllllll they have to do is listen to their users and content creators.
I understand YouTube hasn't made a profit and if you view it in that light its not a success for Google. But what site has stepped up to dethrone YT? None at this point, even giving content creators more revenue (Blip), less restriction on content (Dailymotion), YT soldiers on.
