OpenNIC domains are not accessible through common DNS services, so search engines cannot see them.

yeh I know.. but its easy to add the DNS servers so can find them.. but was talk maybe duckduckgo might add it in future but dont know.. rumors.
but until engines index these they wont take off.. :)

The .se domain is pretty safe for now. They need a court order to take it, and a such hasn't been issued.
