It's not like that wouldn't require a complete redesign or anything like that...
AMD used their 7nm Vega design because it was already there. Making an all-new design for the Radeon VII would be more expensive than making a few more 7nm Vega chips.
It's a bit soon to make these kinds of assumptions. There is only one DXR enabled game right now... basing such a conclusion on a single data point is silly.
Just looked up the prices of these. Woah they are expensive.
Love the design of this printer. Not good for my use case though.
