People are misconceiving what this means. They always drop support for service packless versions of Windows with a few years.
Honestly, I think the UI is hands down best. Android is a joke and Apple tries too hard to make it simplistic. It's just other areas it lacks in.
As someone who works in IT I'm sick of people trying to download legitimate software from usually reasonable place only to be bombarded with 25 adverts all claiming to be the download button.
Jobs didn't care for privacy. Apple always did as asked. Yahoo and MS are the ones who actually went to court to defend their clients privacy.
They also had $40b written off because of low sales of iPhone...
