Concept sounds good but there are some concerns.
1) Would the heater make the cup or bowl too hot to touch?
2) How would you heat up plastic or Styrofoam cups?
3) How long does it take to boil water opposed to traditional electric kettles?
4) How much power does it use when compared to the top electric kettle when boiling the same amount of water?
5) Is this priced competitively with electric kettles that are...
They were really dragging their feet with this update and I really hope they don't mean it will launch at the end of June when they said Q2.
if only one of them could fund young justice season 3 or green lantern season 2. That would be great.
For hundreds of years Africa has been exploited and colonized by global super powers. The land might be rich with resources but access to those riches has been stolen from the people through shady business deals or military force. It also doesn't help that when some of the nations finally gained independence, they were headed by corrupt individuals who only look out for themselves and not the people who they are supposed to be leading.
I'm sure that with time and better living conditions, they will start to better compete globally.
This shouldn't cost so much because the tech inside will be outdated in a year.
They probably lied about the specs to give people more reasons to buy their card over the r9 290x. I'm sure the engineering department would have seen the card and packaging long before it went on sale to the general consumer and raise a red flag. Nvidia could have done a press release before the card went on sale to shed light on this problem long before it blew up into something this big. Also the funny thing is that it is still being sold as a 4GB card today.
That sounds like a very bad idea. Doing so would give them an advantage over us with them knowing almost everything about us and leave us knowing nothing about them. Also I'm not entirely sure how the SETI satellites work but how can they assume they will find intelligent life by listening to space. The only way that would be possible is if that civilization was billions of years old which is very unlikely or if they are very close which would be difficult to tell since we wouldn't kn...
I think the pirates that are smart enough to crack these apps and upload them to the internet uses some advanced proxy that moves data through hundreds if not thousands of computer networks whenever they are doing something illegal. The people who they will likely catch are the stupid kids that finds the cracked apps and upload it to the sharing sites as their own without taking measures to protect themselves.
Damn scary stuff. The lesson to be learned here is to never risk what you cannot afford to lose.
This reminds me of the movie transcendence. I think the engineer mentioned in the article is on to something but even if we reach the level where we could load a person's conciousness into a computer, it would be very hard for us to tell if that is really the same person they uploaded inside the computer or just a really clever AI modelled off a human mind.
Great specs for the price. This will definitely give those Chinese tablets a run for their money.
IMO it mainly comes down to marketing and availability.
This does sound interesting but it will only appeal to the techie users out there and if the cosmetics doesn't look outstanding compared to the other oem phones, then that market just shrank by eliminating most of the women in it.
Other concerns I have with it is that one of the things that makes building a PC so great is that there are many options/alternative to the parts you want and one of the things that drives that possibility is that none of the components are prop...
Chrome is very convenient for me. Apart from its performance, I like how its synchronized with my phone and tablet as well as my PC. The only way I can see people stop using chrome is if google screws up and the browser gets unstable.
To help prevent what this engineer predicts from happening, from now on I will not suggest to anyone who is using firefox to switch to chrome but I will continue using chrome until firefox gets some mind blowing feature or chrome gets bloated an...
I disagree with the author of the article about how its the developers responsibility to prevent cheaters from using third party tools to exploit the game. There are probably thousands of applications being created with the sole purpose of allowing players to cheat in these online games and there is no way developers can safe guard against all of them.
This kind of thing should be enforced in every country on the planet. I don't believe they should be given jail time. Instea...
I like it when governments make decisions that provides a sustainable future for its people rather than poring billions into a finite resource. I wish my country had a vision like this since unlike Germany, we have sunshine all year round and plenty of wind in some places.
They removed the price by time I got to read the article. Other than that, this watch looks to be the first smart watch that is worth buying because of its really good design and very useful features. One question though is this watch waterproof because if it isn't than that could be a deal breaker.
Not sure if this is real because their theory sounds very similar to Professor's method of propelling the ship from Futurama where it is not the planet express ship that moves but the universe around it.

@FlameBaitGod The statistics you posted are interesting, however, on of the things most people seem to ignore when posting those numbers is that the global population has increased significantly since those 1963 so of course those numbers would increase as well.
