The EU isn't doing anything to help its members, in fact right now it's suing Poland for not flooding its borders with migrants who strain the social wellfare systems. Offering some Wi-Fi isn't going to cover that up. That doesn't even consider the fact that the EU believes in censorship and arrest of political dissidents.

Banning stuff =/= moving into the future. It actually slows progress by crippling the economy. Electric vehicles will be the future but this only stifles innovation by squeezing out poor people and small businesses if electric vehicles are not affordable enough by that time.
I would have to agree, the lack of parenting these days is horrifying. Although the culture doesn't help, it encourages parents to offload their kids and let the "public" indoctrinate..ahem..I mean raise them.
