December Contest Details

Well, November has been a crazy month, right? As usual, I am late with the contest details but I am hoping to get my timeliness matters sorted out before the end of the year.

We will be back to the traditional contest this month, balancing both submissions and management.

--TOP CONTRIBUTOR CONTEST--

Submit news and get a top 3 News ranking and you can win up to $100. The News Bonus score will be subtracted from the news score this month to determine final score, so that it is fair and not controlled by rigging the heat scores.

--TOP MANAGER CONTEST (w/MINUMUM 2500 managing points)*--

Rank in the top 3 on the Managing scoreboard and win up to $75. Note you are eligible to win in both the contributing and managing categories if you place.

What I will be looking out for this time are reports that focus more on actual important issues like wrong sourcing, duplicate submissions, and correct story types. Tags are important, but the management contests usually leads to too many arguments over tags when more important issues do not get addressed. If I do see too many tag reports, I will consider giving a DQ in favour of the next person in line.

Some Terms and Conditions:

1. Competition is open to all TechSpy users, except for employees of HAVAmedia and immediate relatives. Contests are not limited to the US/NA.
2. Closing date is 11:59 PM EST December 31st, 2015.
3. In the event of unforeseen circumstances TechSpy/HAVAmedia reserves the right to substitute the prizes for alternatives of equal or greater value.
4. Prizes are not transferable.
5. The winners of the competition will be notified by PM from Speed-Racer on or before January 7, 2016.
6. Failure to reply to ticket/PM notification within seven (7) days results in forfeiture of prize.
