Goodbye, site name in the description rule

Hey all,

As some of you may know, there's a new TechSpy coming soon. Well the entire network is supposed to be revamped, but in the mean time, I'm officially going to do away with a rule we've been using for quite some time. It seems that it has been causing more of a problem in terms of moderation. For instance, I did ask that they be properly formatted (e.g. so that people don't write the titles in all common letters), but some contributors have been too nit picky about it and I'm sure it can be more of an annoyance.

Initially we had asked that it be put in place so that site can be easily recognized from the small preview rather than having to click the post to view the URL.

As of now, the rule will no longer apply to future submissions.

I've gotten tons of reports that I'm abusive and what not regarding this rule LOL, but the decision to pull it was all on my own. It's intended purpose doesn't seem be of enough benefit to justify an additional action in the editing process.

What will still apply was the previous rule in which the description should be quoted when first person pronouns are used. That's been a site rule all along.

Also, any reviews, previews, or interviews should include the site name in the title along with the respective type of story.

thanks for the share will keep this thing in mind :D

Thanks for the share. Sometimes it proved to be little irritating when you got a report saying that you haven't capitalize a single alphabet in the site title.

Settler3687d ago

Sometimes irritating is to fine the exact name of the website :P

That's one thing I was annoyed of when with the few articles I submitted here. Way to go, Racer.

And trying to get yourself into the blog lotto, I see. [o_o]~

Oh...lol didn't know you were an admin.

"Wait, you all allow staff to compete for blogs?"

Mods are still eligible since it's voluntary.

All those years I missed out thinking Mods were DQed as well.
