PS4 Update 5.03 Out Now, Brings More of What People Love

Heads up, PlayStation 4 owners, a new PS4 update (5.03) is out now, and it's a pretty small 374MB.

OB1Biker2318d ago

Nope. Haha as fun as stability was the update 'improves system performance' and its been that way with updates for a long time.
Now it's just funny how easy it is for the media to report anything that they know a lot of people will run with. In this particular case of system update I guess 'stability' has become popular and maybe they ll end up calling it that way again one day due to 'popular demand' haha

Clickbait headline - I won't trust mp1st.com again.

CobraKai2317d ago

Yeah total clickbait. It just improves stability/performance don’t bother clicking for more

My parents divorced when I was young-I appreciate it

Derekvinyard132317d ago

Jokes aside, what exactly do these updates do?

Prince_TFK2317d ago

They bring you “stability”.

Shakengandulf2317d ago (Edited 2317d ago )

Fixes issues with games on the Os side.
U usually see these updates when new games hit.

UltraNova2317d ago

Think of them as GPU driver updates for the most part usually for new gane releases as Shaken said.

After the update, I put a leveler on top of my PS4 and sure enough, it's stable!

Zero_Suit_Samus2317d ago

“After the update, I put a leveler on top of my PS4 and sure enough, it's stable”

It’s obvious you have a defective level. Sony will release another update soon to help with the stability.

Fist4achin2317d ago

Did you use a laser leveler or standard bubble leveler?!

love me some stability, the PS4 has to be the most stable console of all time!

psplova2317d ago (Edited 2317d ago )

That's why I got one.. Stabilityis a prime concern for me coming from the NES...

TheSaint2317d ago (Edited 2317d ago )

My console was constantly falling over, but thanks to this stability update it's standing tall and proud!

Shineon2317d ago

cant wait to stabilize my pro when I get home

Omnislashver362317d ago

Just stabilized mine, so damn stable!

UltraNova2317d ago

Stabilization complete. Its like...well a f**** stability Beast!

Christopher2317d ago

You folks do you know you actually do like performance enhancements, right?

rainslacker2317d ago

Pfft....memes are more important....even if it could be applied to either console as if they don't also release updates to "stabilize" things.

DarXyde2317d ago (Edited 2317d ago )

Definitely.

I've had a PS4 since shortly after launch and it would crash. A lot. Games either froze or crashed and I used to be deathly afraid of playing for too long.

I'm totally not taking these for granted. These updates are awesome. They don't add much in the way of functionality, but I use my PS4 almost exclusively as a gaming console and it does that splendidly. Honestly, I wouldn't even lose sleep if it only had PS2's OS functions with Netflix and Hulu (and the PS store, of course).

Gladiator’s Arena review - Games Asylum

Games Asylum: "Even though the Vampire Survivors influenced ‘auto shooter’ genre isn’t long in the tooth, I’m still surprised that it has taken this long for a Roman gladiator-themed rendition to come along – especially with a sequel to Ridley Scott’s 2000 box office hit Gladiator imminent. It’s thematically perfect, with its circular arena in which one man stands alone against hordes of enemies, grabbing loot as they survive one wave to the next."
