Also Famitsu is a very well known magazine in the gaming world. That would be like a news article calling Trump "Trump" and then complaining that they don't mention who he is or what he does simply because you didn't know he was the president of the United States of America.

@The 10th Rider even if a user shared their info they should state that they got it from him. You can't compare Famitsu with the president of America because it's not comparable. If you conduct a survey I am sure 50% of casual players have no idea what Famitsu is.
Also, when you say "the gaming world" you are referring to gambling see here ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wi... and you still failed to explain why I should believe that these figures are correct with no reliable source? Should I buy Famitsu or google it for fact checking? If so why would I need a shitty website like Nintendoeverything?

@proofmaster - Don't waste your time. These guys know nothing about the 101's of writing, why you always should quote and link to sources, not use copyrighted images without consent etc.

@ InMyOpinion I'm just trying to educate them. Their facts are wrong but helping people realize that they are wrong isn't a bad thing... I hope. I guess I just get pissed when websites like this one get traffic for low effort bullshit and someone does proper editing, sourcing and focuses on the article quality but gets nothing in return. You talk about citing sources properly, however then you link to Wkipedia, lol. Not only that, but the Wikipedia page you link to says:

Things should be taking in context and when someone says "the gaming world" on an article about video games you'd have to be a moron to not know what he or she is talking about. Also go ahead and Google and you'll find that majority of the results actually refer to video games. The idea that it's a term exclusive to gambling is ludicrous.

NintendoEverything is a well respected site that's been around for like 10 years. It IS a reliable source because they've been posting Famitsu review scores accurately for far longer than you've even been a member of this site. Technically the primary source for the scores would be the magazine itself, as you should be aware since you seem to care so much.

Also, you and InMyOpinion are complaining about sources and journalism on N4G of all places. Half the articles on this site are articles being promoted by someone for their own personal site, lol. Heck, it looks like you might have been doing that with the articles you've previously submitted, proofmaster . . .seeing as they're all from the same now-defunct URL. Hilarious that you guys focus your bitterness on a generally well respected site that's been around for years.

@The 10th Rider I understand that terminology may be hard for you to understand and I will not speak about the fact that you ignored the part where it says "related to gambling". That set aside, I am not a member of the website and I never will be. Nintendoeverything can never be a reliable source for this kind of info, this isn't journalism this is blogging. If a website age determined it's accountability for information then you could say that Kotaku is a reliable source but you can see that they are ridiculed for inaccurate articles all the time and they too suck at journalism. I will end this discussion here because I can see that you have no knowledge of journalism whatsoever and it is pointless to continue this discussion. People who think that this website is a reliable source of information have some serious problems and you are one of them.

Once you learn the basics of journalism as a whole you will see where you are wrong. Until then, keep reading this garbage, you deserve nothing else.

Maybe you should read what I said:

This site is N4G, which you are obviously a member of. Clearly you had a bit of trouble understanding the terms I used there.

Also the link you put to Wikipedia doesn't even work, so that's a problem right there. I assume you meant this one: https://en.wikipedia.org/wi... which states that "gaming industry" can refer to a variety of things, including both gambling and the video game industry. Nowhere does it back your claim that the gaming industry or gaming world is a term used exclusively to refer to gambling.

Proofmaster is the type of person who thinks he's better and smarter than everyone else, but doesn't have the knowledge or experience to back it up. He tries so hard to look smart, but fails miserably.
Not to mention it seems like he has a personal vendetta against well known gaming websites.
