No one really cares why Apple products never go on sale or why they're so homogenous in price.

I think people are more concerned with why a 13" Macbook Pro with 4GB of memory, a 500GB HDD, an i5, and integrated graphics costs $1200 when you can get a similarly spec'd windows laptop for about $400 right now. I mean, I understand you are buying into the brand name and ecosystem, so a few hundred dollars here or there would make sense, but $800 is an INSANE incongruity.

It is literally the only reason I have not gone full Apple right now. Even thinking of buying something that ridiculously priced makes my bunghole ache.
