Google's losing a ton in courts these days...

MoonConquistador3985d ago

Yeah, but at times the law is an ass

FriedGoat3985d ago

Not when it comes to privacy. Google know too much already.

Kurylo3d3985d ago (Edited 3985d ago )

How does this have anything to do with privacy? It takes a search term thats typed often in its search and uses it for autocomplete. How can they be held accountable if someone searches your name and types dooshbag after it often. lol... its like saying facebook is liable if someone puts a picture of u in a goofy hat without your permission. How would that be facebooks fault?

Whoever the judge or judges were... must be a bunch of old farts who know nothing of technology. Personaly in this day and age I think the judges should be held liable for stupid rulings due to their inability to learn the technology and how it works. lol.

@Kurylo3d

You know those cookies on your computer? Do you even have the remotest idea as to what are in those? Every website you visit makes one and each one tracks things you do, including, but not limited to, your name, number, email, passwords, location, relationship status, job salary, your interests and browsing habits. And those companies are allowed to sell that information to others.

MoonConquistador3985d ago

@ Fried and AuToFiRe Yeah but maybe if you read the story, stuck to the topic and read what Kuryload said, this is not about privacy or collecting information. Its about algorithms used to work the autocomplete function and how some half assed company tried to make google accountable for what people on the internet search for.

Google, like a lot of companies on the web have some shady tactics, but try to stick to the topic
