Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and Galaxy Player 4.2 come stateside on May 13th

Engadget - The last we heard, Samsung's Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 was in pre-order limbo at Office Depot. Now we have official word that the slate will launch at that outlet -- and also at Amazon, Best Buy, Tiger Direct and others -- on May 13th. As expected, the 16GB WiFi version will go for $400, and if you've followed our coverage, you'll know it's a solid dual-core slate that nonetheless doesn't make huge spec improvements over the original Tab 10.1 (barring that Ice Cream Sandwich OS, of course).

One CPU may be able to process more instructions per cycle (IPC) than another, and it may be able to process them more efficiently. The GPU in a phone is almost never advertised and is usually clocked independently from the CPU, despite being on the same die. It’s usually best to look at the overall performance of the System-on-Chip, but even then things like memory bandwidth can impact performance.

TechRadar - The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is the rather wordy successor to the popular Galaxy Tab 10.1, an Android tablet which managed to challenge the iPad in almost every department, which are some pretty big shoes to fill.

Unveiled by Samsung in February at MWC 2012, the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 was confusingly launched alongside the Galaxy Note 10.1 which sported a similar, if slightly more premium, look and a S-Pen stylus, something the former does not have.
