I hope not, do they not realise how annoying something like that would be? Imagine you're in the living room with someone and they start yelling "Record! next channel! on! off! menu!", or worse...they have to wave their hands like Kinect for anything to happen.

I have no problem with smartphone apps but voice recognition and gesture controls should stay away. It's more hassle than it's worth. It's just so..unnecessary.

Dailymail: Sky has unveiled an iPad app that could finally mean the end of hunting for the TV remote.
It turns an iPad into a giant Sky remote, letting users change channels, record programmes and even rewind shows.
The system is also set to be upgraded with 'social TV' features to let users share what they are watching with friends.
