next headline: mom has no idea why teenage daughter took own life

Well this was boring. Pretty sure it will all blow over in a month's time.

In a few years there will be an "X" over her mouth for an entirely different reason. Kids now-a-days think they are entitled to special treatment. Hell, my mother dragged me to school in my underware when I was about 8. She opened my door, and pulled me out too. I decided it was not a good idea to screw with her. I NEVER did it again. Today that would be classified as assault. Back then it was a life lesson..... And people wonder why kids today are the way they are. The power is shifted from the parent to the child.

People still use Facebook?

You can tell by the posts here who are adults/parents and who are children/teens.
I personally think this was a very creative way to lay down the law so to speak to her daughter.
You find with this generation of teens and children they believe of entitlement and that they can disrepute and disobey their parents at a whim.

When you have no respect for authority at any level when you are young, it does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that those very same "kids" when they become older will most likely follow suit and not respect authority in their adult years.
Parents are not doing their children or teens a favor by allowing them to treat them in a disrespectful way.
If they do, they are preparing their Children unknowingly for harder times ahead when they go out in the REAL world on their own because that world will not tolerate that sort of garbage at any level and consequences to such actions will pursue.

Few of my friends I grew up with that were brutal to their parents and disrespected them are now either in prison, dead or destitute and penniless because respect of authority was not taught to them at home in the early years, and hence they could not grasp this basic concept when they ventured out on their own in the workplace/higher education or in day to day life. Translation: Failure in life due to not being equipped to deal with society norms.

Kudos for the mom doing this.
And as a side note:

If I mouthed off to my parents when I was a teen...I would not be here today posting in this thread LOL
