Microsoft Revenue Jumps 6 Percent Ahead of Windows 8 Launch

HotHardware: Despite Apple's iPad trying to steal Microsoft's thunder and in spite of increasing competition from ARM in the mobile space, Microsoft still managed to drive its quarterly revenue up 6 percent year-over-year to $17.41 billion for the company's third fiscal quarter ended March 31, 2012. Net income topped $5.1 billion, resulting in $0.60 diluted earnings per share for the quarter.
