Pocket-Lint: Toshiba AT-200 review

Pocket-Lint: regulars might remember that we reviewed the Toshiba AT100 and utterly despised its cheap and nasty design and uninspired features. Happily, then, the firm has just started to sell its new and much-updated version of the tablet. The AT200, which offers new styling greatly reduced weight and dimensions and some other tweaks to boot.

From the moment we took it out of the box, we found it to be a much more desirable device than its predecessor and first impressions really do count here. After all, this is a market dominated by an Apple product, so challengers need to have at least competent industrial design to get noticed.

Engadget - Toshiba AT200 review

Engadget - This waif of a tablet certainly took its sweet time getting here. We first laid eyes on this lightweight beauty last August and while it still hasn't landed in the US just yet (under the guise of the Excite 10 LE) we've brought in the international version -- already in stores in the UK -- to test out the hardware, which appears to be identical. On first appearances, it's an attractive sliver of a slab, due to the magnesium alloy body, of which there isn't much. Measuring in at just 7.7mm thick, we're talking RAZR-scale thinness and a 1.18 pound weigh-in that embarrasses 7-inch devices. Despite this, we still have a 1.2GHz dual-core OMAP processor, running Honeycomb 3.2 on a 10.1 inch touchscreen.

Pocket-Lint: Toshiba 13.3-inch Tegra 3 tablet concept pictures and hands-on

Pocket-Lint: Toshiba's AT200 may have only just launched, but the company is looking to be more aggressive in the tablet market in the future with several new releases. It's even looking at new screen sizes for inspiration, with both a 7.7-inch Tegra 3 Android tablet, which we saw at Mobile World Congress, and a massively girthed 13.3-inch concept device.
