Rumor: Apple testing a 7" Kindle killer

HardwareLust.com: It’s not a matter of if Apple is going to release a 7″ iPad; it’s a matter of when. The late Steve Jobs had a habit of discouraging Apple’s future competition. Allow us to explain: In 2003, Jobs told Walt Mossberg at the Wall Street Journal that the company had “little intention” of ever entering the cell phone market. In early 2007, Apple announced the iPhone. During that same conversation, Jobs also said he was “not convinced people want to watch movies on a tiny screen.” As you know, only two years later, Apple brought video playback to the iPad’s little 2.7″ screen.
