PocketNow - Sony's Xperia line has always been about refining. Back in 2008, their first Xperia X1 was clearly the benchmark for how a high-end Windows Mobile device should look and perform. Sadly, Sony Ericsson's adoption of Android has been a different story. Their phones have done a good job in pushing industrial design to the limit, but the fact that their first Android device, the X10, launched with Android 1.6 Donut (later updated to Eclair) in times when Froyo was already shipping, has really tarnished their reputation. As good as their phones have been, they're still struggling to land a hit years later.
Techradar-"This is the second time out the gate for the Sony Xperia Tablet S. It originally launched in September, but was quickly pulled from the shelves thanks to a manufacturing fault. That's unfortunate for Sony, because in the interim the Google Nexus 10, Amazon Kindle Fire HD, iPad 4 and iPad mini have all hit the market."
Mobile & Apps: "At IFA conference, Wednesday, Sony took the lid off its newest Android tablet, the Sony Xperia Tablet S. The device, when compared to previous Android based tablets from Sony, is thinner and sexier and quite the powerhouse. The tablet sports a Quad Core Tegra 3 chip, 10-inch display, Android 4.0, up to 64GB of storage along with a microSD card slot for additional storage for those people who can fill up a 64GB drive in a matter of minutes."
Androidome - We saw the beautiful Sony Xperia S first at the CES 2012 in January where this ‘Sony- only branded’ smartphone was launched by the company. On its launch, the Xperia S was applauded for its exquisite design, performance and camera but also received a lot of criticism for its battery and non-updated software.
