I shall use all 3, and if I am banned for it, I shall simply say "fuck it" and spread that to my friends. I never use the site anyway.

The author kinda made a mess of that story. What I think she meant was, if the words were used in a business title of a website or company that acted as a competitor or some other similar industry within the field of social networking. E.g. If i decided to open a dating site called Hotbook, that would be a violation. Otherwise, they can't sue you.

Lord_Sloth4408d ago

So what if I created a social network site called "Bookbook" that would be a violation but if it were a site for reading books I'd be good?

Speed-Racer4408d ago (Edited 4408d ago )

@Lord - Honestly I can't say, but I wouldn't think you'd have an issue since it's a different type of establishment (book viewing vs social network). I think it's limited to the realm of social networking.

In addition, I am not sure how it may apply to apps that are made for Facebook. If you open a book viewing store using a FB app, maybe the law might apply...but I'm no lawyer, so I dunno.

thats utter bullshit.

its like megagames.com saying that no other sites/users on their site can use the word "games" in it. WTF!!!

this is what they mean when they say absolute power corrupts absolutely everyone.

Gazondaily4408d ago

Hmmm maybe this is good news. Maybe this way I can stop getting spam emails asking me to join f*ckbook and meet local singles up for sex.
