Why UK anti-piracy laws won’t spark SOPA-like protests

Gigaom - In the wake of widespread protests against proposals such as SOPA and ACTA, there is chatter online that the law is out of sync with the public mood.

Anti-Piracy laws are fine in my book as long as they are only targeted towards the root for the piracy problems and not the average user.

It's sort of funny to how in the U.S there weren't really any protests against SOPA/ACTA/PIPA except for the blackout day. But in Europe they have angry mobs and protests!
