Networkworld : An image of the Windows 8 logo leaked last week was hacked from the design studio’s network and posted to a Chinese Web site, according to a published report.
The new logo, in the same Metro style that permeates the operating system user interface, was supposed to be released Feb. 26, just three days before the beta version of the operating system becomes available, according to a story on co.design.
And, for once, some of what it can do looks genuinely useful.
The blog post reads, “We’re introducing a new WhatsApp app for Windows that loads faster and is built with an interface similar to the app's mobile version.”
Since the middle of February, customers of AMD graphics cards have been reporting situations in which Windows installations were entirely bricked after installing new drivers.
