C_Menz  +   90d ago
Sigh, what is their reason now for doing this?
Shackdaddy836  +   90d ago
They are internet terrorists. Their only reason is that they're a bunch of sad sacks of shit.
firefoxprime  +   90d ago
Welp, there goes your SSN.
Shackdaddy836  +   90d ago
I highly doubt this will ever work but if it does, i better not have one of my college assignments due that day or ill go Hulk.
Lord_Sloth  +   90d ago
I'd pay money to see them gone. Approximately 15 cents per person because that's how much my bullets cost. Stupid ass teenagers with nothing better to do then make people miserable.
HICK  +   90d ago
You must be shooting a pretty weak gun if your bullets are fifteen cents...

They aren't just teenagers. Some of them are in their 20's and 30's. They have nothing better to do though.

I buy my bullets at Walmart. $15 for 100pcs of. 38.
Sarcasm  +   90d ago
$20 for 100 rounds of 9mm's too. Sign me up to hunt these idiots down.
C_Menz  +   90d ago
Agreed. I wouldn't hate them if they actually did what they say the do(basically only go after those who deserve it). But between the Sony mess, various other companies hacked, and now this they are just asking for more strict internet laws and for all of them to be hunted down even more so than they are now.
onyoursistersback  +   90d ago
lol....they tryed to go after Los Zetas (Mexican cartel). They said they where going to give out names out to the public cuz they had one of there hackers hostage. Until they hired there own hackers to go after them! lol....at the end Anonymous backed down! lol......Los Zetas are all ex Mexican military, there's rumors of them building there own tanks?!

Wish they'd go after real terrorists and Iran instead.
LiL T  +   90d ago
You mean REAL terrorists like the us army.
CynicalVision  +   90d ago
"and Iran"

The U.S propaganda machine sure is working overtime lately.

Here's a tip for you, try doing your own research instead of blindly following whatever junk Uncle Sam or the British Government come out with.

I couldn't care any less. Mangle those root servers. *shrug*

tiffac008  +   90d ago
And they would effectively become the most hated group in the world, making this act virtually pointless. I doubt this is real.

id honestly like to see something amazing like this happen
C_Menz  +   90d ago
Amazing? Hardly so, if they take down the internet you can kiss a lot of your "freedom" on the internet goodbye.

Bills like SOPA,PIPA, and ACTA will just gain even more backing and now instead of having the average person behind opposing the bills it will get messy.

The media will just cover how these internet terrorists Anonymous have been terrorizing the internet, companies, etc. and without bills such as SOPA/PIPA/ACTA things won't change. They will fear monger the public into accepting a quick passing of the bills.
zag  +   90d ago
ACTA isn't an net bill or anything to do with copyright it's a treaty that makes it possible to trace down people who copy your stuff within an free trade agreement with the USA.

They should use these skills to take down child porn rings, track pedophiles and report them and more. This is such a waste of talent.
C_Menz  +   90d ago
They actually have done this before.
r21  +   90d ago
WHY?
Bil  +   90d ago
Anonymous has distanced itself from the plot.

ngecenk  +   90d ago
this is exactly why the gov think we need the acts sopa pipa kinda shit!
mynameisq  +   90d ago
I actually think anonymous is part of the cia or fbi, the plan is to frustrate the public till they want anonymous gone and then the USA government can try to control the internet by introducing its actas and sopas by telling us its to stop anonymous
Skizelli  +   90d ago
That's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. SOPA and PITA will not eliminate Anonymous. Do you even know what SOPA is about? Anonymous aren't pirates.

Nobody runs Anonymous. It amazes me how so many people are uneducated about what they stand for. They aren't terrorists; terrorists kill people. They're "hactivists."

One of the downfalls of not having a leader is that a lot of people have been doing things in the name of Anonymous, when in fact it goes against the very thing the group stands for. It's no different than child-molesting priests giving all priests a bad name.

Furthermore, I recall a time when they were going to take down Facebook. Guess what? Didn't happen. The wannabes are the ones making empty threats.

Definition of terrorist: "A person who uses terrorism in the pursuit of political aims."

Nothing in that definition says anything about killing people. Anonymous is, by definition, a terrorist organisation and if you're a part of Anon then you're a terrorist. Get over it.

And they aren't "hactivists". Activists protest. They don't try to take down the internet or hack into companies like Sony or take personal information in company databases.

And I can't believe you're trying to defend these losers. They're one of the reasons why the government wants to censor the internet in the first place.

Allow me to school you.

1) Terrorism is the systematic use of terror especially as a means of coercion. Now if you look up the definition(s) of terror, you'll find this:

: violent or destructive acts (as bombing) committed by groups in order to intimidate a population or government into granting their demands <insurrection and revolutionary terror>

I don't know what world you live in, but nobody in this world fears Anonymous. They're annoying more than anything, thus, they don't fall under the category of a terrorist.

2) Wrong again. If you opened up your dictionary once more and looked up Activist, you would find this:

: a doctrine or practice that emphasizes direct vigorous action especially in support of or opposition to one side of a controversial issue

3) I'm not defending anyone. I'm merely stating that most people who hate Anonymous have no idea what they're actually about. Educate yourself before you commit to hating something.

4) If you did your research - and it looks to me like you haven't (again) - you'd know that groups like Anonymous have nothing to do with bills like PITA and SOPA. In fact, this sort of thing has been going on since the '90s.

You're wrong on all four accounts. "Get over it."

Ok anonymous your going to end up getting the internet censored and policed by the Government if you do not stop this. One thing I know for sure is that when you attack uncle sam he tends to take it out on everyone for no reason. If this is your goal it is a very sad one because you will end up hurting a free voice all over the world. It is the same freedom you are enjoying right now. It could all come to an end for everyone because after all, that's what the government and these greedy corporations want anyway. There are some things you just shouldn't do even though you can do it.

@Skizelli - your repliy was one of the dumbest things i have ever read, you failed all basic comprehension. I didn't say Sopa or Pita or whatever eliminates Anonymous so don't put words into my mouth, I was merely giving examples of acts that try to censor/control the internet. I agree with you on most of what you've said, it's just a shame you tried to call me dumb by arguing against a point i never made... oh and if you think the USA government wouldn't do a false flag attack like that then read up on Operation Northwoods- it goes way beyond internet attacks to real attacks. One last thing, Sopa and similar acts could actually be said to stop Anonymous and the American public would probably buy it to be honest. I mean hell, they still believe that passports of the 9/11 highjackers were found near the world trade centre, presumably they fell (safely and unburnt) from the disintegrated plane and was the only thing to survive, hahahahaha
