they hired one of the most respected design agencies in the world, it wasn't a case of "cheaped out" I'm sure they paid top dollar for this.

Even so, it is very meh...

LOL....MS has all the money in the world so they hire a top design company to design something my 8 year old nephew could do....I guess when the money keeps pouring in you can spend it however wildly you want.

SO it's a 6 year old. Jk...but seriously, that is a waste of money. Might be minimalist, but it doesn't have that striking effect. Maybe if they used a color scheme rather than one color, or asymmetric shapes.

i recently got to play with the latest windows 7 phone and to my shock its very fluid, fast and over all the metro design is pretty dam sexy.

I agree with you. I have had more or less every smart phone os over the past 10 or so years from the old sony pda, wimo, iphone, nokia, android, blackberry and windows phone 7 and i have to say windows phone is the only one i have had no problems with at all. I had a hd7 which was a good phone but the phone its self was basically a hd2 with a kick stand and i now have a titan and i have to say its the best phone ive ever had. Its fast easy to use plus if you add zune pass, xbox live, facebook, twitter, linked in, windows live, skydrive, bing search, vision, maps and music. Skydrive, office plus alot more windows phone 7 offers more then the iphone and android for what i want out of my mobile. Plus with the fastest growing app store out of the 3 major mobile os and add nokia into the mix as well over the next 3 to 5 years windows phone is going to become a big os in the mobile market.
