Samsung may spin off struggling LCD business to focus on OLED displays

Samsung is said to be pondering a potential spin-off of its money-losing LCD business, which has in the past supplied display panels to Apple for devices like the iPhone and iPad.

Thats the direction I am headed considering my DLP 74 inch blows bulbs faster than I replace them lol.

I don't think they should completely drop the LCD part, just make it more profitable somehow. OLED is awesome but it still is to expensive and still a few years away.

Most people just bought brand new tv's/devices with LCD/LED and spent a ton of money on them and I doubt they will flock to OLED in the masses especially with the economy.
