ARS - Ending months of speculation on the matter, Microsoft has revealed that Windows 8 on ARM will indeed contain a desktop—and that desktop versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote will all be pre-installed.
It will be interesting to see if Microsoft can pull off the ARM and traditional version of windows in a way that doesn't screw one if not both of the platforms. Programs need to be completely re-programmed if they are made ARM and then "ported' over to the other version and vice-versa. I hope that they can figure a way to make it easier so that when Windows 8 launches you don't have to search or fumble through a ton uf stuff not compatible with your version.
