Canada’s largest telecommunications companies are squaring off in a fight about the future of television.
Pocket-Lint: ITV has laid out plans for it's ITV Pay Player that will see customers pay for access to more than1,000 hours of archive TV and film content.
The announcement follows a trial that saw 5,000 homes try the service, and comes a full two years after the TV company first spoke about introducing a micropayment system.
Pocket-Lint: The ITV Player for iPad app was given a major overhaul on Thursday allowing users of the app to now watch live television as well as on-demand shows they might have missed from the numerous ITV channels.
Users of the app will now be able to watch ITV 1 and ITV 2, but not ITV 3 or ITV 4 on the go via Wi-Fi or 3G on their iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch - although you will have to sit through an advert or two before the stream starts.

There will most certainly be a 2012 iMac and MacBook Pro launch very soon, and most likely this quarter. The hype building around a big screen Apple TV is increasing for good reason, and while it has not been confirmed by Apple it’s largely believed to be almost certain, which could even release at some point in 2012 or 2013.
I am up for buying the iMac with SSD and a Retina display, and also I would be happy to replace my big screen with a Mac TV if it also featured native apps and 60-inches.
Put me down for the new MacBook Pro to replace my Air, but only if the rumors are correct.
