The Verge - Alienware's latest desktop is a departure from form: a console-sized gaming PC with nearly fully modular components
VRFocus: Alienware, a subsidiary of Dell, has today launched the official pre-order campaign for its line of ‘Oculus Ready’ PCs. Itself billing the machines as ‘VR Capable’, Alienware has two systems in the range at present based on Intel i5 and Intel i7 processors.
Baden of WGB: "I’m extremely lucky to get a variety of games, keyboards, mice and headsets to play with and review, letting me experience products I would likely have never gotten to even touch otherwise because I have a bank account filled to the brim with metaphorical moths. I never thought I’d get to take a shot at reviewing an entire computer, let alone a rather expensive one from Alienware. It’s an entirely new experience for me, leaving me wondering exactly how to tackle the challenge and deliver some worthwhile criticism. Without further ado, then, here is my attempt at not looking like a complete tit while reviewing Alienware’s latest iteration of their X51, having spent two weeks with it as my main computer."
Maximum PC: It was three years ago to the day that we posted our review of Dell's Alienware X51 PC game console to the website, which we called "impressively powerful for its size." That was true at the time, though in the fast moving world of technology, the system's Core i5-2320 CPU paired with a GeForce GTX 555 graphics card is nothing to get excited over today.
