Tablet snafu: Motorola says not all data wiped from refurbished devices

Chicago Business - Motorola Mobility Inc. says some of its refurbished tablets have been sold with previous owners' data still intact on the devices.

The Libertyville-based consumer electronics manufacturer said it has learned of 100 cases where the original owner's data was not completely erased from a Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi tablet before resale. The problem is part of a batch of 6,200 tablets that were resold by online retailer Woot.com between October and December. (Gadgets, Motorola)
