Barnes & Noble Offers Free Nook Simple Touch with Nook HD+ Purchase

Maximum PC: It's never been more affordable to own a name-brand tablet than it is now, especially with the recent price cuts. To further sweeten the pot -- and to remind everyone that yes, it too offers a tablet -- Barnes & Noble recently announced that anyone who purchases a Nook HD+ tablet between March 24, 2013 and March 31, 2013 is eligible to receive a free Nook Simple Touch eReader. That might seem a bit redundant, but if you look at it from the angle of shopping for yourself and for someone else at the same time, you can kill two birds with one stone.

the nook hd is supposed to be a nook, so its quite redundant unless you are giving it to grandma or a mothers day present.

the Nook simple should just be 49.99 and call it a day. its market time has passed and people have moved on to other devices.

HotHardware: It seems that Barnes & Noble is serious about getting its NOOK under the Christmas tree this year. This morning, it chopped the price of the NOOK Simple Touch from $99 to $79. That has to gall people who have been picking them up in the past few weeks, but it’s good news for the procrastinators.
