Engadget - The Tablet may have gotten most of the glory at today's Nook event, but there was plenty of love to go around across the line. The Color got some solid multimedia upgrades, courtesy of Hulu Plus, Pandora, Rhapsody and the like, and the Nook Touch -- now known as the Nook Simple Touch -- received a few bumps of its own, beyond that price drop to $99.
Maximum PC: It's never been more affordable to own a name-brand tablet than it is now, especially with the recent price cuts. To further sweeten the pot -- and to remind everyone that yes, it too offers a tablet -- Barnes & Noble recently announced that anyone who purchases a Nook HD+ tablet between March 24, 2013 and March 31, 2013 is eligible to receive a free Nook Simple Touch eReader. That might seem a bit redundant, but if you look at it from the angle of shopping for yourself and for someone else at the same time, you can kill two birds with one stone.
HotHardware: It seems that Barnes & Noble is serious about getting its NOOK under the Christmas tree this year. This morning, it chopped the price of the NOOK Simple Touch from $99 to $79. That has to gall people who have been picking them up in the past few weeks, but it’s good news for the procrastinators.
Engadget - Though not everyone will able to justify the $40 premium, the Nook Simple Touch with GlowLight is a worthy investment for anyone who's ever squabbled over lights-out time.
