Engadget - Alcatel One Touch, best known for Android phones that'll give your bank balance a mere glancing blow, is purportedly going big. New Mobile managed to get its hands on the One Touch 995, which will apparently be decked out with a 1.4GHz processor and a gratifying 4.3-inch touchscreen to show off the latest version of Gingerbread.
The new Alcatel OneTouch IDOL 3 lineup is the company's flagship smartphones that are going to challenge Apple's iPhone 6. Both devices come with the same screen sizes as iPhone 6 and 6 Plus - a 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch. Unlike iPhones, they are much more affordable.
"The Alcatel OneTouch Watch isn’t your average Android Wear smartwatch either. Alcatel decided to use for this device its own in-house software which aided by a dedicated app connects to other devices."
Thanks to the endeavours of some of the UK’s biggest networks, most people now live in a region where 4G connectivity is available; there’s even talk of launching 5G in a few years. With lightning-quick download, upload and browsing speeds, 4G is a big improvement over what 3G connectivity can offer users.
