next thing you know we gonna have to pay just to hold our own cellphones.

thanks to Apple for all this shit.

before when nokia, Ericsson, samsung etc were in the mobile market, there was no such thing as patents.

hell, if there was nokia would hold every single patent, make crap phones and just collect money from every competitor who makes a better phone than them via suing their asses.

sound like this is Apples business model.

I just hope people realize the crap Apple does. In the long run, it's a huge hamper on innovation. If Apple wants to sue for all these patents, at least use it to it fullest instead of just archiving it for fun.

@ Racer how can apple hamper innovation w/ patents? Patents in fact increase innovation forcing companies to find new ways to do things instead of copying the same. Yes some patents could be overboard but if your a major corporation and are the first to do something you want to be able to profit off it w/o 10 companies behind you taking what you thought up and running you out of business. Its not apple what needs to change its maybe the patent laws of certain cases.

@thehitman - there is only so much you can do in terms of reasonable functionality. i dont know if you noticed but all companies (MS, Apple, Samsung, LG, Google, etc) have been spending all their days in courts over patents that barely get used. What pisses me off is that apple for instance argues that their products are alike even when it bares very little resemblance.

I can't find the image now but there was a comic of Apple comparing a fridge to the iPad and saying "if you look at it from this angle and squint your eyes"... it's ridiculous if you ask me.

So let me get this right Apple invented patents.
