"Jobs has kept his salary at $1 since 1997" - wow.

I didn't know he got kicked out Apple in 1985 until yesterday. He later rejoined when Apple purchased 'NeXt' in 1996. If he didn't sell his shares when he left, he would of been the 5th richest man in the world :O. He was #110.

He kept his salary to $1 but had tons of investments in the company which he profited off. Dunno who he thinks he is fooling.

Captain Tuttle4582d ago

Exactly. Capital gains tax is 15%, much lower than the income tax he would have to pay if he got a typical salary.

Maester074581d ago

Who he thinks he is fooling? Are you implying that he's alive and actively deceiving people?

Speed-Racer4581d ago (Edited 4581d ago )

@Maester07 - That makes no sense. I'm just saying that a lot of people thought he was such a good person, making it appear that he was so dedicated to his company and the fans. He just wanted to evade as much taxes as possible. As Captain tuttle said, he saved a whole 10% on taxes...all for himself. If anyone is getting 'cheated', it's the government, but that's another story by itself.

he shouldn't of kept his pay at 1 dollar. he should of had it at the regular pay and gave it to charity not some big company corporation. So how many charities he give to?

Speed-Racer4581d ago

He kept it at 1 dollar so he would be able to beat the tax system for his personal gain. Also there was no records of him publicly donating to charities after the late 1980s. If he did an anon donation, well no one really knows.
