I've come across a few articles stating he was an over rated visionary but I don't believe this. He may not have done all of the work but he spent a great deal of time recruiting the best in the industry into Apple. He was a charismatic genius and had the ability to grab the attention of all around him. I can't remember who exactly but he went to one of the top people over at Coca-cola and said "do you want to sell sugar water all your life or do you want to help change the world" (or something along those lines). With those words he got the guy into Apple even though he refused at first.

He did a LOT more work that most CEO's.
