The Federal Communications Commission will now require that new cellphones (including VoIP headsets) have GPS capabilities by 2018 that allow it to be pinpointed during a 911 call.
Interesting. Should help definitely in saving lives. But as always, there will be a huge need for safeguards as it is already getting popular amongst smartphones. Stuff can get ugly if security is not increased.
Doubt anything major would come out of this since GPS is used quite a bit already.
