seems to be too coincidental, they seem to losing prototypes every new gen of the iphone. They could be testing some tracking features or what not.

^Actually, no. They're suing the guy who found it in the bar last year and sold it to Gizmodo. Gizmodo has been cleared by Apple of any real wrong-doing.
