This is pretty nice. I think someone told me that this gets about 6 hrs of battery life regular use (gaming more like 2.5? Which is understandable), although I might be mistaken given the conversation was referring to a few high end laptops. My biggest gripe with laptops is build quality, size, and battery life, and this likely meets all those requirements. At this price though an SSD would be nice and it would likely make the system even faster, and a quadcore i7. Supposedly this is a dual core one.
However, the 2nd generation of this will likely be better to go for if you are going to drop 3 grand. I would also like a 15" option.
For most people this isn't reasonable, but it is a nice "big boy toy". I don't think I'm going to spend 3 grand any time soon.

If it's one thing I've learnt about these laptops is that cooling efficiency sucks. I have an XPS laptop, and it constantly overheats and freezes if I don't use a cooling pad when playing games.
