Skype Acquires GroupMe Whilst Being Acquired by Microsoft

Gadgehit writes: "Skype has entered into an agreement to acquire the year-old GroupMe business, whilst it itself is being acquired by Microsoft for $8.5 billion. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but the amount that Skype is paying for this acquisition is reportedly around $85 million."

They've way over-valued them, I'm sure it was something that Skype could have developed themselves, especially when they had Skypecast and then removed it.
