Yesterday, it was announced that Bagcheck has been acquired by Twitter. Bagcheck is a web service that lets users create their own lists of products or services they recommend to others.
It is still uncertain how the service will be used by Twitter, but with this acquisition the company gains access to new talent, primarily in development. One of Bagchecks co-founders, Sam Pullara, has previously worked as chief technology officer at Yahoo!. He will now be joining the Twitter engineering team.
Airlines, Air France, KLM, and Ryanair no longer offer customer service support using Twitter's direct message functionality.
