3D Printed Plane takes flight

3D printing is catching on, this time in the form of an airplane that actually flies. The SULSA (Southampton University Laser Sintered Aircraft) is an unmanned aircraft, that was printed with a EOS EOSINT P730 nylon laser sintering machine.

hell yea, give it 20 years, well be going to stores to get material instead of things, everyone will make their own everything, the printers will get a lot more advanced, well all be able to make whatever we want!!!!! my predictions are probably way off hahahaa but its pretty exciting

actually i think that's what the people who created these machines hope will happen.
they made a simple design that anybody with a bit on knowledge can build, and they're designed so that once you've built one, you can make most of the parts to build another with the machine.
and new version they design are also designed so you can build most of the parts in the old version.

the idea is that people can make a lot of the things they need right in their homes.
