I usually dim the display everywhere, just a habit. I drive a motorbike and when I pull over to look at my phone, if I can't see then I turn it up momentarily but i just keep it dim most of the time and I find that that helps the most really. I have 3G turned on pretty much all the time for work.. LOL.
