i doubt it even if lulzsec crippled al-qaida completely and got 1000 shady individuals caught they would be treated the same way.

I wonder how this could have happened?

Seeing as 80% of the actions are happening in countries where there is next to little or no internet access.

How does a hacker really stop so boss sending a lower down guy out to the public telephone box to tell the next person what to do, or send a note out personnally.

That is how bin laden sent his messages out around the world, so they wouldn't or couldn't get picked up by the spy groups.
