Engadget: We've seen plenty of handheld console mods, but only a few laptops -- most impressively, Ben Heck's sleek PlayStation 3 -- and PSHax member Pirate recently finished his water-cooled take on the notebook PS3.
that thing is UGLY but i give the guy credit, even though its selling for 600$ on ebay and has 2 problems # Because this is water cooled it will not work in hot weather, as long is you’re in an AC-cooled environment it will work just fine (water cooling the PS3 can’t be warm). # · This is not battery powered, so it needs to be plugged in to a power outlet. why wouldnt i just get a regular ps3 then? at least part of this will go to a good cause.
Thats kind of cool , but how can you do maintenance on the watercooling kit? The liquid will need to be changed every six to twelve months and I dont see any way to do that.
