The founder of Pandora, Tim Westergren announced today that there have been 10 billion thumb interactions to date. By interaction he means that there have been 10 billion votes of either thumbs up or down on songs over Pandora. A milestone to say the least since its founding in 2000.
Music listening service Pandora saw a dramatic dip and then a dramatic 22% spike in after-hours trading Wednesday, as investors were reading the tea leaves and then learned of the royalty rate decision.

From January 1, Pandora is going to be paying more money to music labels for the songs being streamed on its platform.
With more personalization, Pandora hopes to take on Apple Music and Spotify.
