Rumor: Google Is Going To Lock Down Android

According to a Business Week report, Google is planning to lock down Android in the same kind of way that Microsoft controls Windows Phone, considering that Microsoft is imposing even the chips that are used inside the devices built for their operating systems, and do not allow manufacturers to build software to differentiate themselves from other manufacturers.

I can't see this happening to the degree that the title would have you think. I think Google is going to try and get fragmentation under control which may mean they need to go a lil Draconian for a while but I don't seem micromanaging apple style.
